WE PRESERVE, ENHANCE, AND PROTECT YOUR VISION
This is a common eye condition, in which the lens becomes progressively opaque, resulting in blurred vision. Cataract surgery is generally recommended when your cataract has progressed to the point that it is interfering with your daily activities and lifestyle.
Our vision is made possible through the interactive parts of a highly complex visual system. The retina, a light sensitive area in the back of the eye, is part of that system. It gives us the ability to see things in sharp detail. When it is diseased or damaged, vision loss can occur. If untreated, irreversible blindness may occur.
LASIK is eye surgery that permanently changes the shape of the cornea (the clear covering on the front of the eye). It is done to improve vision and reduce a person's need for glasses or contact lenses. For clear vision, the eye's cornea and lens must bend (refract) light rays properly. This allows images to be focused on the retina. Otherwise, the images will be blurry
The Pediatric Ophthalmology Department is a highly specialized, niche and advanced eye care facility offering expert diagnosis and treatment for the entire gamut of ophthalmic problems in children belonging to the age groups from ‘just born’ to ‘teens’ as well as for adults with strabismus.
Oculoplasty is the art and science of plastic surgery around the eye. The eyeball is a delicate structure, protected from harm by eyelids in front and the bony cup (socket) behind. Behind the eyeball run the nerves, arteries and muscles, which carry messages to the brain, move the eyeball, and provide nutrition to the eye.
Uveitis is inflammation of the uvea — the middle layer of the eye that consists of the iris, ciliary body and choroid. Uveitis can have many causes, including eye injury and inflammatory diseases. Exposure to toxic chemicals such as pesticides and acids used in manufacturing processes also can cause uveitis.
